Hi all,
I've just been thinking about what we could do to help encourage people to fly together outside of events.
What if we nominated an airfield each week (perhaps an airfield from the group flight?) that will act as the "home" airfield that week - so if anybody wants to just go have a fly, they know where to go and have a good chance of bumping into other members ?
Good idea? Bad idea ?

It's not a bad idea but I'm not sure it's going to convince anyone to actually fly together and ideally sit in a voice channel.
I think we need more people posting invites. Maybe a day or so in advance, so more people have a chance to see it and show up for it.
Personally I'm up for flying whatever, whenever but since I'm the world's worst person at small talk, I'm probably not the ideal candidate to get the ball rolling. All I can offer really is my time (which I have lots of) and the occasional sentence in the voice channel.
I would love to see more activity. I've really enjoyed my time "here" so far and I'm trying my best to get involved.

The forum is very new, so I doubt we will see a lot of interaction until everybody gets used to it. It may even be that we cut Discord right back to the voice channels - and encourage use of the forum. I guess we see how it goes.

I cant see any downside to posting an airfield of the week, it might not get much traffic but nothing to lose Perhaps take suggestions each week.
