Hi all,
During tonight's group flight around the Redwood forests of northern California, there were several moments that were "over the line" in terms of subjects being discussed en-route. I didn't wade in and stop the conversations - perhaps I should have - next time I will.
The more colourful language, reference to drugs, and sexist jokes MUST stop. You will have noticed me change subject several times during the flight - next time I will start banning people.
I'm sorry if people think that I need to lighten up, but the group *must* remain accessible to all.

I'm adding the following text to the voice comms section of all events going forwards:
If connecting to voice communications, while we encourage conversation en-route, please stay away from subjects that may either offend, or involve anything obviously illegal. Keep it family friendly and respectful. Failure to do so will get you excluded from the flight and/or the server.

Absolutely agree - I watch other livestreams, mostly space stuff, and the chat is mercilessly moderated. It's spelled out right at the top what's allowed and what isn't and the slightest transgression gets a stiff warning, the post deleted, then a ban. No court of appeal. And it works, and is the better for it. Everyone knows where they stand and those that can't or won't abide by the rules are kicked off. Full support for that here.
