Hi - I'm Jonathan. I started VirtualFlight.Online, and built the "Transmitter" application - mostly because I wanted to find people to go flying with. I have flown various simulators for years - starting out with "Flight Sim 737" on the MSX in about 1984, then Flight Simulator 2 with an Atari ST in the late 80s (I'm guessing we discount "Combat" on the Atari 2600?). Throughout the 90s I had all the major versions of Flight Simulator - from version 4 running on a 486, through to 5, 95, 98, 2000, 2004, and in more recent years FSX, Prepar3D, X-Plane, DCS, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. For the last couple of years I have been using Microsoft Flight Simulator almost exclusively. I record videos of my flying escapades from time to time and release them to YouTube - showing things I have learned along the way for the benefit of the community (visit my YouTube Channel!). Favourite aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator at the time of writing (April 2022) would be: - Asobo Cessna CJ4 with the Working Title mod - Aerosoft CRJ - PMDG Douglas DC-6 - Wing42 Boeing 247D - DC Designs PT-17 Stearman I work in the daytime as a software and web developer for a Microsoft partner - building out all sorts of corporate and commercial systems for their staff to complain about. At home I run Linux on my long suffering laptop (it gets re-installed with various flavours of Linux on a regular basis), and have a Raspberry Pi pretending to be a Commodore Amiga just across the room from me. By far the most reliable way of getting in touch is via email - jonathan.beckett@gmail.comYou can find me on most of the popular social networks - I'm "jonbeckett" at Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I also have several of the popular instant messaging apps installed on my phone - among them WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal. Send me your mobile number and I'll message you.
